ginisang-ampalaya

Ampalaya or Bitter Melon is a commonly eaten vegetable in the Philippines. It has a bitter taste and is usually cooked with other vegetables to cover its taste somehow. Personally, I love Ginisang Ampalaya more than the other ways of how ampalaya is cooked. Others call this dish as Stir-Fried Bitter Melon or Gourd.

Anyway, here is a simple recipe on how to cook Ginisang Ampalaya (credit goes to Nestle.com.ph):

Preparation Time: 00:05
Cooking Time: 00:10
Servings: 6

Ingredients

2 tbsps. cooking oil
1/2 kg. ampalaya sliced diagonally
3/4 cup water
1 8g MAGGI Magic Sarap
2 pieces eggs beaten

Procedure

1. Heat cooking oil and stir in ampalaya and cook until tender.
2. Pour water and bring to boil.
3. Add MAGGI Magic Sarap and beaten eggs; stir well to blend.
